Great clumps of dust arranged around the metal frame of the machine can be removed by hand. Anything actually sitting on or in exposed electronic components can be blown clear with:

Compressed air (you can buy this in cans); or
A vacuum cleaner, configured to blow air through a narrow nozzle; or
(Failing everything else) your lungs pushing air through the hollow tube of an ink pen.

*** Do not let the nozzle of anything touch the electronics inside your computer. Moving high-velocity air and plastic tubes equals static electricity; static electricity equals death to electronics.

thanks for the advice! I think I will go with the vacuum since I just got a new shop vac haha
