So, a friend of mine says they can send me £1300 for a new laptop. All is good, I get a quote for the laptop. It takes my friend maybe 6-7 days to get the money to me. Within that 6-7 days, all the prices change. I'm now £300 short, and the only laptops within budget are inadequate.
Advice, please? I don't know what to do.

EDIT: oh, hey, better idea: Spend about $1400 building a desktop rig, then spend the last $400 on a laptop and some desktop-to-laptop streaming software. That'd work.
