GO HOWARD DEAN GO

So Howard Dean hosted Countdown (normally with Keith Olbermann) last night. It was pretty good!! And it dealt with the issue most important to me right now, which is health care reform. As things seem to get more dire while reform is held up by the bastards and sell-outs in the senate finance committee, Dean is taking a more outspoken stance than many of his fellow Democratic compatriots and standing up for the public option.
To me it almost feels like now he's gone rogue or something for hosting a show which isn't afraid to be open about its political leanings like Countdown and even speaking out against fellow party members. C&L is reporting that Dean will now be filling in for Keith all week. Crazy stuff :0
I really hope the dems don't compromise this bill and waste money on some option which isn't strong enough to avoid getting bludgeoned to death by its opponents. Any loss in that matter simply validates the failures of government in the minds of critics. I'm fine with skepticism, but I'm not fine with government bureaucrats doing a half-assed job when the American people want strong action and stronger reform. It undermines what little faith in the system people might still have.
Can the governor save public health care from the lobbyists? ONLY TIME WILL TELL, HYEAAAARGH 8D

And yes, get rid of the lobbyists!
Now, however, depending on your interpretation of it, they could simply roll back the Bush tax-cuts and it might end up turning out even. Closing tax loopholes is another way to fill the gap without costing political points or offending those who strongly believe they shouldn't be "punished" for making tons more money than everyone else.
Unfortunately, because of the huge deficit that the US has accumulated over the past 8 years, implementing this program without being able to pay for the vast majority of it ahead of time is pretty much out of the question. Otherwise, you might've seen some of the blue dog Democrats a little more flexible on the funding issue earlier on.
R-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH
It's very important when you consider even that is what America needs today where it is the taxpayers.
But not mentioning that its divided over 10 years and highballing it, not mentioning that that is far less than many gov programs and more people could then get well and work thereby bring in more tax cash to help cover it, remove the greedy leaching insurance monopolies, typical hesitate and do nothing DC crap.
Frankly it makes me sick and disgusted how stupid and gullible people are to believe its best to leave healthcare corrupted, they must like being looted then dropped by their insurance and charged $5,000 to get something simple like a sprained ankle checked.
At least the gov is somewhat accountable, but you cant fire a monopoly.
Most of the other modern countries that have public health care are currently doing better than us economically( relative to populations of civilians, not the dishonest corporate totals vs small countries media propaganda).
Though I wouldn't be surprised if they get rid of the basic public option for poor and laid off people, its the most important part so why would they bother passing that? ¬_¬
If a supporter were struck by a car immediately after feeling happy about the ad, then struck my lightening just after recovery, things that being healthy have no effect on, it'd be poetic justice. I'd like to see the world's healthiest man stand up to a SUV thrown at them from a tornado that spouted in the middle of a wildfire and pay for any injuries out of pocket...
Let's hope that means they care enough to not undermine anything.
