Does anyone else feel super awkward making a design/species when a popular artist recently did one of the same or similar? :'>
I'll have a design or color scheme in my head for a long time and then poof someone submitted something that borderline looks like what I was gonna do so now I'm sitting here like "????" well shit. Lmao

Yeah,, that's always a little discouraging. However, I say go through with it. I'm sure whatever coincidence there is, there is enough difference with your variation that either no one would bother you, or if they do, people would understand you didn't mean ill intent.
