didn't get to read the comments or see who faved that desktop image i just submitted. they took that thing down fast. i had no idea they were so anal about stuff like that. Deviantart encourages you to put up pics of your desktop even if it's not your art... wierd. i wonder if they wouldn't have deleted it had i given credit to the artist. oh well... thanks for commenting and faving and watching because of that and here's the pic if you want it. huge image though, had to scale it down for my desktop

deviantArt's copyright policies freak me out. Basically using someone else's song on a flash video and posting game screenshots you have made are a no-no, but selling prints of fanart is ok

I wonder about that because fan art is of characters you don't own, so why should you be getting money for someone else's intellectual property? Selling prints of those characters should be forbidden. It's almost like those drawing the fan arts of them and getting commissions of said characters.
