---MEGAPLEX WRAP-UP---

Well, the Megaplex 2009 Anthromorphic Convention has come and gone, and I had a blast with this one. This is the second big con for me, but the first to have Trefursuit out on the prowl. I had no table to do commissions at, since they were $40 apiece and I have no hopes to make it all back, so more time to spend at the rest of the con for myself. Here's a small recap of what happened...

Friday
I had Zip and Pyro stay overnight the night before the con after a long drive from Georgia to be here. Friday morning is when we all went together to the Radison where the con was held. The day begins with the Opening Ceremonies, and I started running around in the suit most of the time. Family Feud was pretty fun, even though I brought some disgrace to my team here and there. The Red Team (my team) won the Fursuit games, which included games like passing a wiffle ball with snowcone cones, domino-placing and a race to open the presents and get the Christmas ornaments out to hang on the tree. The ornament game was the most fun. I spent some time with Uncle Kage's story hour, and DJ Herbie helped us wrap up the night nicely... funny to hear "Bake the Cake a Little Bigger" at the time, and what fun to dance to... XD

Saturday
The morning starts with some Saturday morning cartoons, like the Pink Panther, Scooby Doo and Dynomutt... or whatever his name is... XD Then it's Fursuit Parade time! About 65-or some of us walked our way around the hotel and putting on a show for everyone there, followed by a group photo you can see right here. Just guess where I am... :P

Some more fursuiting and photo shoots later, I went to JR's standup and then we went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show... and I can't believe I fell asleep for the second time in a row! Shame on my dumb ass... God, if only I recorded myself singing "Black Hole Sun" on Rock Band back in the game room. I had a lot of fun on the account that I sung like a complete retard. As long as the pitch was right, it didn't matter what I say. XDDD

Sunday
Our final day was spent at the Kissimmee Fun Spot, and I got to hang out with Rukario and others most of the time. I am amazed I fursuited for an hour in the heat... I had some balls, and some attrations like the Go-Carts and the free soda refills helped me cool down... oh, and the clouds overhead. I attended a panel for Advanced Fursuit Construction to try and get some pointers for Trefursuit, then the Art Jam came in where we just sat down and drew. The Closing Ceremonies wrapped up the convention and we got to hear of next year's theme (It's Mad, Mad Science) and that it will be at the same hotel next year... SCORE!! We didn't officially stop until we played Fursuit Deal or No Deal (which I got to hold a "suitcase" holding a dollar value) and the WTF Theater (which is like their own 1 1/2-hour Who's Line Is It Anyway show, but why should I complain?). Then there's the Dead Dog dance, which I didn't stay long for since I had work the next day. :(

And that's the con in a nutshell. I had a great time and am willing to be there for next year. I am all psyched up already knowing that it will once again be close to home. :)
