Anyone know how to ship international packages? (important)
I know this question’s dumb as all hell, but Google’s been a royally unhelpful mess in solving this. :T I’ve been wanting to send a pacakage to my boyfriend who lives in Portugal for a few months now, but everything I’ve looked up has been giving conflicting information.
Some sites say I need a customs form attached to the package, others say I don’t, I still don’t know if and how many stamps I need, and I’m not sure if there’s anything else that needs to be added to the package before it’s sent. I’d like to avoid walking into the post office looking like an idiot hahah ;u; So any help would be appreciated

In any event, the advice to go to the post office and ask is good. They (obviously) know about such things, and answering questions like that is part of their job - so I don't think they will think poorly of you because of this. :)
1 - get package, make sure it is securely taped so it won't tear open.
2 - make sure your address label is very clear and easy to read
3 - go to post office
4 - the post office will have forms for international shipping, you will need to fill out the address again, a return address, what is in the package (it can be vague), and other details
5 - take form and package to the front desk
You'll get walked through the rest of it.
In case the person you talk to doesn't know, ask them for someone with more experience, or even for them to ask out loud if someone has done it before (in a big office, someone will know at least a bit more), say you're going to ship something a bit heavy and expensive and that you'd really, really rather not have it get lost or returned.
And yes, as someone said before, if you're in Europe, almost zero chances of needing complicated forms. Otherwise, expect to have to give at least a short declaration of what you're shipping and its value.
