I’m really sick of ppl telling me “I have potential”

It didn’t bother me at first but it’s just confirming that where I am artistically now is weak ass sauce! It’s worthless. I’ve spent years trying to draw better but the only place I ever get is “Having Potential”. Never achieving that potential.
It’s like walking up a never-ending ending hill. “You’ll get there. This hill just carries on for eternity. So no worries.”

if you EVER think you're done. If you ever think that you cannot improve, that you do not have the potentially to be a little bit better at some part of your art...
Then at that moment you need to stop drawing and never draw again - because anything you draw from that point on, will be utter shit.
I can't tell you how many artists - who had great potential indeed - got the idea into their heads that they had reached that potential, and that they thus no longer had to try anymore, because suddenly their shit didn't stink. Such a waste
To this end: Be happy that people keep telling you that you still have great potential. You'll miss it the day they stop
No, to accept that you can always be better means that you will always see flaws in your own artwork, and room for improvement. If you no longer see flaws in your work, your work will only suffer.
look at some of your earliest work here:

see how crude the lineart is, how simple the shading is?

more refined and detailed anatomy, much better lineart, much better shading and use of colors
You have definetely improved.
A thing for you to consider:
As you improve as an artist, so does your ability to evaluate art you look at. That's typically why most of ones old work ends up looking like shit - because you can now see all your old flaws. This can also make it more difficult to see how your current work is any good - because you have become more critical of the art you produce.
No one is ever done.
Art isn't something you can max out on and just be done for life.
Yes, it's a never ending road. But that's something you accept when you start drawing.
Judge your work by how you've improved , that's something you can actually see. No point in worrying about the future. Just keep doing your best and eventually you'll be satisfied with your work.
In my eyes, you are pretty damn good. There will always be room for improvement, but that doesn’t mean you’re not doing great already! I love your stuff and I love it when I see your stuff pop up in my notifications.
Just wanted to put in my two cents. Please, chin up. I know it’s hard, believe me I do, but yeah... Again, I love your stuff and I hope knowing you have fans helps a little.
"But i never get better."
"my best is shit still."
You are truly an artist. Only a professional artist would beat them self up this bad. The Art Guild of Self Flagellation will be sending your cap, gown and diploma soon, congratulations.
Potential? Why do you care? Draw for fun and for improvement. Only care about critics when looking for it.
Seriously, fuck potential...
