About that fursona redesign...

Some of you may have noticed the sketch I posted about a potential fursona redesign here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/26198196/
Well, I have now decided that I definitely will NOT be using that and will be doing nothing more with that design. I really had just intended to make my fursona a little more like the real me. But a lot of the comments it has received have really hammered it home that this is apparently a 'daddy' kind of a look, which was definitely not what I had intended.
The thing is, I am NOT a 'daddy'. I personally have no interest in being one or being thought of as one. Nothing against them, it's just not who I am. And the thought that this fursona design will lead to people jumping to the conclusion that I am some kind of 'daddy' is just very off-putting. Having to correct people who make that assumption will get annoying and old very fast.
So, that design has VERY quickly become quite unappealing to me, so I will not be using it or doing anything further with it. Apologies to those who liked it, but you will not be seeing it again.

either way you need to make a character that you are happy with
the "Daddy" image is something that carries into RL. I've had folks, RL, call me Daddy because of the grey tinges in my beard.
It's shallow, but also par for the course when it comes to categorizing people. Image provides ideas and there are elements that go with it. There was once a time where if you were a fox, people just assumed that you put out.
"Dad" meaning either 'old enough to be a RL Dad' = 30/40s or a bit the "Gay Daddy" thing
I kinda "Get" the wanting to age up your fursona a bit though, my new story has charas in there 40s [When I wrote Banzuke etc most of the charas where 20s/30s closer to my age back then]

Just don't say "I'll never ..." Time ago I used to laugh about strange thinks now I'm stucked in rubber + mind control of this fandom
