It seems from a statistical stand point that when I make a picture that I actually put some effort into, such as with a background and everything, it doesn't get as much attention as opposed to a picture that I didn't put much effort into. It often happens a lot with some of the pictures I make, and it makes me wonder if I shouldn't really bother with putting so much work in some pieces.
does what you focus on matter in the statistics, or maybe the extra fluff of the background and extras pull away from the subject that standing alone, it stands out more so folks notice?
Yeah, people will rarely care for real talent and effort of others... Sucks, I know; but you should still strive to do the best of what you can with what you love.
