~emerges from her hole of freelance... and promptly gets dragged back into the darkness~ Actually, it's not that bad... just finishing up edits on a beta and then finally freedom!!!
And what shall I do with that freedom? Well, here's my current inspiration... Been looping this for way too long Seriously, it's like someone plucked images right out of my head and put them to kickass music If that's not a sign to get off my tail and start working on MY stuff, I don't know what is lol
But in the meantime, I need a favor from you guys - especially you roleplayers out there. What sort of RPGs are you looking for these days? Any themes/settings/etc you'd like to see? Do you prefer complex systems or rules-lite? Campaigns or one-shots?

As for RPGs... Not sure I'd be much help on that front sadly. I've only played one D&D 5e game as of late- staring a Tabaxi version of Cloudwalker who was a Storm Sorcerer/Glamour Bard- and most of my RPG fix is coming from shows like Critical Role and The Unexpectables for the same reason I've only been able to play a single game of D&D: my current work schedule & life stuff. However, as for what I might be looking for, I will say that playing that game and watching those shows has shown me that I like RPGs with rules that are easy to pick up but not completely dumbed down. If I had time though, I could probably learn complex systems like that of the nWoD (New World of Darkness), Shadowrun 5e, or Eclipse Phase (which I really wish I could learn those last two because those setting/theme is right up my alley).
Setting/theme-wise, I'm partial to sci-fi stuff, though I do also enjoy fantasy as well. I backed the Sound And Silence lorebook for HC SVNT DRACONES and pre-ordered the Tal'dorei Campaign Guide that Critical Role made, so I'd say I'm good either way XD. Something in common that I like exploring in either science fiction or fantasy is, surprise-surprise, transformation and transhumanism :P. However, I think it'd be interesting to explore in a fantasy setting, as most people think of transhumanism as something being grounded in science fiction, ignoring all the potential that magic offers to accomplish the exact same thing. Soul Jars could be integrated into golems, animated armor, warforged, or humanoid homunculi to create full-body prosthetics; liches can achieve a sort of pseudo-immortality through multiple means that don't have to be inherently evil, such as with the concept of the Millenium King; transmuting spells and healing spells could be put to use universally such as imbuing pills with Cure Poison and Disease to create cure-all vaccinations, or using True Polymorph to help people who are transsexual to transition without surgery; and so on and so forth. Honestly, I'm surprised this sort of thing hasn't been experimented with as much in terms of fantasy RPGs in the past, given the amount of potential many settings have for such an idea.
Hrm, sounds like we're interested very much in the same things theme-wise. Good to hear. And yes, I'm weighing is my concept too radical or simply something people haven't explored yet - but want to. So, definitely encouraging to know I'm not completely cracked
Your concept sounds pretty interesting from what I read in the comments below- a setting where, for example, necromancers are no different from engineers or achitects. I'll definitely look forward to reading it when you're ready to publish it ^_^.
Hmmm. I tend to be more of a complex-is-okay player, I'm more interested in balance and consistent-game-reality background than oversimplifying for 'playability'. You can always simplify as players when you don't need the details, but it's nice to have a way to resolve disputes.
I don't mind complexity, but I'm one of those cranky old graymuzzles who learned how to do calculus in my head ages ago...
