Sudden developments

Good morning/day/afternoon/night,
This is Chilla´s husband writting, hope you´re all having a decent day. With great regret, I have to inform that wife is currently completely bedbound due to a sudden burst of shoulder/arm pain. We assume it´s related to a nerve being constantly damaged and/or pressed by the shoulderblade, but no real answers so far. I cannot imagine her agony at the moment, but even now she´s twisting and grunting from even the slightest movements.
While we are currently trying to resolve this issue, despite incompetences from the health insurances and her family, it goes without saying, that she will not be able to perform any work in these days to come, and, being how she is, she is incredibly self-cautious and torn up about it. So, if possible, all she needs now, is understanding and patience. As she said in her Profile post, she *always* finishes the work she owes, even if it takes a while. Goes without saying, but doesn´t hurt to reitterate.
In any case, pardon for the lenthy, and rather depressing, post. I will be certain to keep her company and inform her of any notes accordingly, including keeping track of her health development and updating her journal here as necessary (being her primary working place). If anyone has any advice in regards to how this complication could be resolved, any assistance would be encouraged. Thank you for your attention, and take care.
Best Regards,
Chilla´s husbando

I really hope you'll recover soon!
But take it easy and take all the time you need to get better! ;)
Resting the arm/shoulder is probably the best coarse of action right now, to allow any inflammation to reduce.
However, don't completely immobilize the arm, as that can cause the shoulder and muscles to tighten up and cause more pain.
Slow, mild movements of the arm should be performed periodically during the day to keep the muscles flexible and stretched, but no lifting of much weight or sudden movements should be performed.
If there is swelling, an ice pack should be applied to reduce the swelling. If it is muscle pain without any swelling, then a heating pad or hot towel of some sort should be applied for up to 20 minutes, a couple times a day. This relaxes and loosens the muscles and tissues, increasing blood flow through the area.
Thank you for the update and give Chilla our best. We all hope for her to have a speedy recovery. <3
I slept like a sack of potatoes these days with the help of sleeping pills, as it was impossible to do it naturally. Pain is not constant because I had some shots, but I can't place my arm in a normal pose to draw/type or it starts stinging. I didn't recover the feel in my hand/arm yet, it's completley numb.
I do some exercise that make all of my bones crack and grind. No improvement though :1
It definitely sounds like it's going to take a bit of rest for it to heal. I really hope that it starts to feel better soon.
More positive vibes coming from here. Thanks for the update, let the 'chilla know that there is much by the way of best wishes floating across from the UK.
I actually need some help, but I fear taking more commissions with the full plate I have. I don't know what to do.
As
I'm personally dealing with autoimmune disease and arthritis myself, though on a lesser level. I'm available just to talk with if you like. Just fire off a note my way.
I wish you a speedy recovery and for the incompetencies to subside so that this progress can be made. I have nerve damage and arthritis on top of osteoporosis so I can sympathize. Good luck with it all. I hope that this isn't going to put too large a dent in your household budget. Good luck with it all.
