Well, if you want people to be notified of your art when it's uploaded to scraps, a possibility is to first upload it normally and then move it to scraps. The notification will still show up. It's what I've always done. Just throwing this suggestion out there ^^

I am seeing your uploads to "Scraps" in my regular stream, so I don't think this is necessary. ("Revelations" showed up in my regular feed, at least) This might be applicable for people who aren't watching you, though.

Aye, I use this same approach with all my Scraps too. I generally give it a few days or a week before I move them out of the featured gallery.

Like ponyguy says, Scraps do appear in submission inboxes for your watchers - not sure things submitted directly to Scraps appear in the main Browse list or in searches though. So depends if you want them to be more visible in that respect - if so, best to submit to featured first and move later.
