My GF's mom "got lost" looking for her deadbeat husband, and wrecked her car. She doesn't seem to be hurt, but her car looks like it ran into a giant can opener....and she can't remember ever getting into a wreck.... More later....

At least your GFs mom is OK. She might have short term memory loss from the accident. From the way you described her car, the accident may have been very violent. So she could have hit her head fairly hard.
