Commission rules and prices!
Read this entire journal before contacting me about a commission.
(updated June 30, 2018)
First and foremost: If you break these rules, I will cancel your commission and I will not give you a refund.
Prices are as follows:
Lineart: $10 per character
Add color to whole picture: $5
Add shading to whole picture: $5
Add complex background: $5
Lineart-only commissions can be given a simple single-color fill for free.
A simple solid-color or gradient background is free. If you don't ask for a background, you won't get one at all; it'll just be transparent.
I may charge extra for characters, objects, or situations that are extremely detailed and/or difficult to work out, or for simple variants such as different outfits. These extras are charged on a case-by-case basis, and are negotiable.
I will say ahead of time that I will not draw:
* any form of bodily waste or reproductive fluid (if it goes in a toilet or in someone's privates, I'm not interested)
* sex (I'm honestly turned off by it; just penetration, without the thrusting, can be okay)
* gore (a few cuts and bruises might be okay on a situational basis)
* death (not a fan, period)
* inflation (not a fan, period)
* futa/herm/etc. characters (I think you can guess)
* underage characters in any situations underage characters should not be in
* anything permanent or of extremely long duration (yes, surprise surprise, the guy who is into petrification has limits)
I am allowed to refuse a commission for any reason, including reasons not explicitly listed here. I will always inform you that I am refusing your commission, but I am not obligated to tell you why.
I'll generally open commissions on both DeviantArt and FurAffinity. However, there might be times when I only accept commissions from one site instead of both.
I'll keep a journal on both DA and FA tracking the commission queue, which will be shared across both sites. If you want a commission, leave a comment on that journal or send me a note saying so. (You can also get hold of me through Discord, but I prefer comments or notes for this.)
Please be specific with what you want. Leaving a few minor details up to me will probably be fine, but I really don't like having to fill in the major points of something on my own. This also means I won't accept any "just draw my character doing whatever you want" kinds of commissions.
You will need to provide a good visual reference for any character you want me to draw – except, of course, for my own OCs.
Exceptions may be made for characters with no visual references available if you have a very good written description, but keep in mind that these exceptions will probably cost extra.
If you're asking me to draw an OC that isn't yours (or mine), I will also require a note from that OC's owner giving me explicit written permission to use them. Yes, even if you're getting them a gift.
If I accept, I'll let you know. I'll ask you to clarify anything that needs clarifying, and I'll give you a price. Once all the pricing and details are sorted out, I will add your name to the queue, unless you tell me you would prefer to remain anonymous.
I will send a sketch for approval first. If you want anything changed, I'll change it and send a new sketch. I'll even redo the whole sketch for free if you aren't happy with it, though if I ever start to feel like you're just using me for free sketches I will drop your commission without hesitation.
Once you approve the sketch, I'll ask for payment. Send me your email address and I'll send you an invoice through PayPal. You should be able to pay it with PayPal or a credit/debit card. (Sorry, I'm not accepting any other payment methods at this time.)
If I don't get paid the full amount within 72 hours of my sending you the invoice, I will cancel both your invoice and your commission.
Once you have paid the invoice, no refunds will be given.
After I begin working on the next phase of your commission after you approve the sketch, you will not be allowed to make any major changes to the characters or pose. Minor changes are fine. What constitutes "major" and "minor" changes is at my own discretion.
I'll send WIP updates as I finish each stage of your commission, so you can ask for minor changes as I work if you feel any are necessary.
Do not ask me for status updates unless you haven't heard anything from me in at least a month.
Once I finish your commission and get your final approval, I'll upload it to my gallery/galleries, unless you specifically told me not to or (for whatever reason) I don't feel comfortable doing so. You're allowed to post the finished product (and ONLY the finished product) anywhere you like as long as you give me credit and link back to my original upload on whichever site you commissioned me from.
If you upload your finished commission without giving me credit, I will politely ask you to do so. If, after I have asked you politely, you still do not give me proper credit, I will report you as an art thief and tell everyone I know to blacklist you. So please remember to give credit where credit is due.
If, at any point, I send you a note and I don't hear back from you within a week, you will be removed from the queue. If you haven't paid yet, your commission will be dropped completely. If you have paid, your commission will be put on hold until I hear back from you again, and I'll start work on the next commission in line while I wait.
Once your commission is complete, you must wait a minimum of two weeks before asking for another one.
That should be everything, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me a note.
