Canceling all collabs/trades! (Warning gruesome reason)
Hey everyone....
For everyone who has been noting me about collabs/ trades lately (and it's been a few)
I'm sorry to say but I'll be putting those off for a bit.
(Warning gruesome)
On Monday we got a precious cocker spaniel puppy...we named her peaches. QuQ she was our cute baby girl....
Last night while we were taking her out to go potty, the neighbors had their damn motorcycles blowing up real loud making her startled and run back of the house. Apparently a bigger dog got a hold of her... Bit her lil head making her eye pop out of her socket (not entirely just bulge out really bad close to it being a lot more serious)...
I didn't see the damage till she ran back inside and she ran towards me crying. I could not stop screaming and crying! I wouldn't want anyone to ever experience such sight from a pet of s person, it's absolutely horrible.
We rushed to a vet that was 20 min away, they couldn't take her because she needed emergency care so they directed us to an emergency place that's 45 min farther away...
All that time I was hyperventilating while the poor girl just acted like nothing was wrong...she wasn't crying at all regardless of how her eye was it just scared me even more.
We got to the emergency vet place, they took her in...we waited a hoursss till she came back out... They were able to put her eye back in, they stiched it closed so it wouldn't.. pop back out due to her like face being slightly swollen. We got her medications that we'll be giving her for a few days. In around 7 days we gotta take her back so they can determine whether her eye will be able to function or if she'll be blind from that eye, or the worst case scenario, her eye becomes a pain for her and they'll have to surgically removed it...
They said she didn't damage anything in the back of her eye so that was great news.
Our girl is taking her meds right now, she's been sleeping with her poor little head cone, she's precious, I'm just hoping everything turns out well for our little one, she's just a puppy...
Again sorry if things are a bit slow on my end for a couple of days or weeks. I'll still be working but a bit slower paced. Any collabs will have to be pushed back a bit more as well. Everyone who has asked for a collab with me will get a note from me later on when things get better! So no worries. Same goes for trades.

FA+

Definitely needs taken care of asap
Seriously some people need to handle their dogs better and not let them attack others!
When I first got little Eevee (My chihuahua) I took her out to go potty when one of our neighbours came with their rabid dog and let it loose, it went ahead and attacked Eevee, I managed to seperate the two luckily before anything critical happened but its really left a mark on her (no wonder, she was the size of a freaking mouse at the time! The dog was massive comapared) now she's incredibly scared of other dogs and barks and growls at them, sometimes even trying to bite them. Its a shame cause she used to be very social and loved being with other dogs and now others think she's crazy, but she's just scared around certain dogs now, but she's actually really sweet.
This may happen to little Peaches so if you dont want her to be uneasy and potentially agressive towards other dogs as she grows older I'd look into trying to socialize her as much as possible while she's still young, of course dont pressure the sweetie and especially not right after an attack like this, but keep it in the back of your mind, show her that not all dogs are scary ;u; I'd hate for her to be forever terrefied of other dogs cause of this awful accident T3T but hey, you might be lucky and she might not be bothered by other dogs even after this ^^.
Anyways I hope the sweetheart recovers well! <3 <3
right now your peaches could use all the support you have been giving her!
i pray she recovers nicely and can return to how she was before this incident!!
But it sounds like both dogs were off leash here so then it's a very, very grey area. I'm not even sure if anyone had actually seen the dog attacked or where it was attacked from what's been posted above, so unless there were puncture wounds, the pup could have fallen and hit it's head and had the same issue. =/
And it would be a matter of what dog could have done it if it was the neighbor's pet as well.
I'm honestly a little more concerned about this puppy being able to get away from the owners the way it did. But I live in an area where coyotes attack small dogs or cats regularly, so my fur babies are always kept inside or on leash.
I can't leave my dog alone outside for reasons kind of like that. The apartment's yard has a fence that other critters have been digging under, I don't trust my gal not to dig further. That and there's a big dog that sometimes gets loose and runs the block.... not as many coyotes where I am though so that's at least a small plus.
We always have to stand there with her or keep her on leash for short walks, she's a nervous thing though so she doesn't mind having us around all the time X3
Just watch, she might end up with some anxiety and separation issues, and no longer like other animals. AS FOR YOU, take your time with everything. I'm sure everyone understands that IRL comes first especially with something as hard as this. Taking care of that sweet baby comes first! And i hope she starts feeling better soon, poor thing ;; The owners need to be more careful. Sometimes i understand things happen but if your dogs are aggressive you should watch them more closely when they're outside.
Fences are there for a reason and getting onto your property is a huge no. (Id consider filling any holes under the fence with cement so they can no longer dig underneath it. you can always top it with dirt so grass grows, and if you for some reason no longer live there in the future, its not hard to break up and remove.)
Poor little pupper
And maybe ask the neighbors with the bikes to chill a bit.
I'd be going nuts, total mama bear at that point....
I really really hope your baby recovers quickly, and that she isn't any worse for the wear.
Bless you both <3
I hope peaches will recover and feel better and happier...
stay strong, dear~ >3<
i hope things start looking up soon for you. <3
if you ever need anything im here for you <3
