Aha, hyper-fixation and dolls? You're speaking my language! I have a Japanese BJD myself I bought piece-by-piece over a period of time (Obitsu 27cm body, head painted by a good friend... https://68.media.tumblr.com/7951b5a.....nuzo1_1280.jpg ). She's been my con-going companion for years... Though I took her to a BJD panel at Dragoncon a few years back and got shamed because she's so small in comparison to the super-deluxe expensive ones people brought in (which were all massive... but in her defense, she did look like she was going to kick all their butts when they were lined up!).

*ahem* Pardon. Talking about my own fixations there... But, yes, totally more Harajuku stuff! I say indulge in the fixations!

And yes, I do! Though I've only done one MH repaint so far and posted it. Like I said, I only just recently started, and I don't have a lot of work up. Oh, no, no intentional shame (other than a brief moment when the moderator saw my Ash and commented that she didn't know they made Obitsu bodies that small!). Just amusement at people's staring at her. The size doesn't bug me, because she's just big enough to fit in the front pocket of my messenger bag, meaning she gets to experience the con with me (and she's even shaken hands with some celebrities!).

There's this one doll that's a WIP online right now that I'm eyeing waiting for her release, because she actually kinda looks like me, and she's quite little like yours as well! My wife has a MSD (I think that's what they're called???) that's about the size of your girl as well! I like the small ones. Hers is a little dragon boy and he can sit in the palm of my hand, which just makes him that much cuter. ; w; <3 Your girl is perfectly travel-sized and so lovely to look at. <3

;;u;; I do customs on a different account, and since you mentioned being interested in bjd AND using catty for a dollsona, I wonder if you know about "Hujoo" dolls made of ABS plastic instead of resin. The cat "Freya" comes in white and I bought mine from Junkyspot for under $50usd. Its kinda a easier introduction into the bdj world without dropping a few hundred xD but I love mine! (best part is a lot of barbie clothes seem to fit them!) You can probably still find them on ebay. :3

Dollightful is probably one of my favorite doll artists on yt! xD Also I TOTALLY confused Catty for Catrine, so I guess you wouldn't be looking for a white cat bdj haha. However, they're still worth looking into, very affordable, fun first bdj!

Haha, yeah, she's the reason I am doing MH customs in the first place! I love her work so much. ; w ; Right now I think I'm pretty content with my MH and EAH collection while I save up fro a BJD. I really want a boy (I tend to prefer male characters), and I just recently purchased a used Hunter Huntsman and I'm really pleased with him, way more than I am with the girls. He's got a decent weight to him, a nice face sculpt, and he's got ANKLE joints! How cool is that??? I'm going to turn him into one of my D&D characters. (The dark haired one in this picture.). I want to get an Alistair for his boyfriend, Reza, but Alistair is so expensive because he's so rare. @A@

yess, oh my gosh x.x I love mh boys. I only have one, hes a CaM vampire, and I'm just saving him for a custom. It's getting nearly impossible to find good G1 MH in stores. This is the first faceup I did on a MH https://i.imgur.com/Ik9JwUG.png, Until then I mostly only did MLP and other toys lol. Your characters would make awesome dolls! Also a heads up, I think all Hujoo dolls are relatively inexpensive, and they make many human models too, including males. Since they're all ABS Plastic.

I'm working on doing more, but I have to get more MSC. In general, MH dolls are hard to find these days, especially articulated ones. I like the budget dolls for children, but I just can't get behind the dolls with non-posing arms! Though that's hardly an atrocity compared to what Mattel did to poor Prince Charming for their Ever After High line. Molded PANTS. PANTS. Can you believe it??? That poor boy. I understand molded tights and boots for the girls, but /pants/? I was slightly mortified, especially when his brother is so well made by comparison. {|D

Right??? And ohhh, that hair is GORGEOUS! I thought about rerooting my repainted Draculaura (I named her Splendor!), but I'm nervous about glue seepage. It's been such a problem in the dolls I already have that I'm thinking about going pure wigs. Mozekyto on Youtube has some beautiful tutorials I'm going to try using, but I'm having trouble getting wefts long enough for the hairstyle I want to do!

Iv been rerooting mlp for years and never had trouble with seepage, I think the reason gluehead is such a problem with MH is because they might use less hair per plug? ALSO you can use hot glue and that pretty much turns to plastic, I haven't used it yet though, but have heard it being preferred by a few other artists. I think its Mozekyto who also shows how to make a wig cap? You can almost use the same method with doll hair as you do with yarn wefts, gluing them into small flat chunks. Yarn wefts tend to max out at about 5", so if longer hair is what you're after, that's something to try. Making wigs is something I really want to try some day, but haven't yet!
