This is the journal header. Nothing to see here, get to reading the actual journal yah goof!

But they block you.

No this is nothing recent. I just happened upon someone who blocked me a while ago and found it funny their profile said they're happy to meet people and share a conversation. Gave me a good chuckle. I didn't even say anything offensive or rude, I asked a question about a submission, an innocuous one at that.

Aren't people just the darnedest things?

Oh it wasn't a commission idea. They uploaded something, I couldn't quite make out what something was so I asked about it. Apparently it was unacceptable that I did that in the comments....despite it being the most sensible place to ask x3

Like I said, people are funny things sometimes.

People can be terrible. XD Sorry this happened to you, not a good feeling being blocked. Got blocked by someone I've never even spoke to or about before. ^^'

To be fair, I didn't exactly respond in the most mature manner. (By that I mean I mocked them immediately).
But it's still funny they were so adamantly against me asking a question in the comments, and by extension against talking despite what their profile purported.
In the end however, nobody was exactly civil.

Some people just don't respond well to criticism, advice or any sort of comment really. Its a pet peeve of mine, but I personally don't like it when people post stuff expecting only positive comments and nothing else. They can ask questions, post criticism or whatever they want.

It wasn't even criticism. I just couldn't make out a particular detail and asked for clarity on what it was. *shrugs* One thing led to another.

Less immature, more terse and not in a pleasant way. Not gonna pretend like I was any better following that, I let myself devolve into equally unpleasant mocking. But at least I'm no hypocrite *shrugs*

People can’t handle any opinion that differs from their own, and so they choose to block people rather than exploring differing viewpoints. Cause if they did that, they might have to (GASP - CHOKE) grow (shudder).

While that's not what happened in the instance I'm referring to, this still feels very true in a lot of cases.

It’s nice to know that’s not what happened. Still, it has happened to me a few times. Someone disagrees with a point I dare to fairly bring up, and instead of hashing it out, or at least saying they’d rather not discuss the topic further (which I would totally respect), they just block me like the whiny babies they are... not to be judgemental 😁
