So many old items at a hobby shop

So...today, I visit a hobby shop named Toys Kingdom, located at inside the Yik Foong Complex of Ipoh city. Note that this is not the first I visit the complex and the hobby shop.
Inside the shop, there are numerous plastic models (usually dominating by gunplas), statues and action figures (usually consists of SH Figuarts and Figma). The shop also sells the tools such as cutter and modeler knife etc. for building plastic models.
Now, let's get into the main topic: For whatever reasons, the shop has many old items that are still there and are left there for years, particularly the old SH Figuarts such as the Akibarangers (duh...), Akaranger, Vul Eagle and a few Kamen Rider SH Figuarts action figures. (ZX and the Fourze module sets are the worst offenders.) Heck, I even see a old SIC Kikaider there as well.
This makes me wonder: How can a small hobby shop has so many old items?
On the side note: When I visit the shop today, I have a hard time decide on which action figures I should buy as there are many items in the shop, old and new. (since I already have the SH Figuarts Body-kun and Body-chan that were used as the designer mannequins) In the end, I brought a SH Figuarts Ultraman (A-type).
