I actually got lucky and was able to reserve a room. If for some reason i can't find roommates before the last week of March, I will see if I can cancel my reservation and room with you guys.

You can usually cancel a room reservation between 24 and 72 hours (depending on the hotel) of your check in date without incurring a penalty.
First thing I always do is reserve a room, because usually I can always cancel it if I cannot go..

Yeah Eddie. We had everything squared away and the room was already spoken for and everything. We were just looking for some extra roommates when all of a sudden my friend's boss pulled the rug out from under him. The room was under his name and he was forced to cancel it. Usually by this late all the rooms are gone, but I was fortunate and found a smaller room in the main hotel that I could still reserve under the con's block. It's probably only because we have the entire hotel this year.

I may even have the roommate situations taken care of. Another friend of mine overbooked in the extreme, so it sounds like I'll be taking in some of his friends.

It's a shame when you plan something, and then your work denies you the time off. I always let my boss know way ahead of time when I'm planning a trip, and I have all planned events on an annual calendar where everyone can see it.

Yeah, I let them know all the way back in November. They kept telling me to wait till a month out to post it, so I did. After that, it was a huge letdown when he rejected it the very next day. Needless to say, I'm still upset, moreso for letting Coon down. I miss all my friends, and FWA is the ONLY time I seem to get to see everyone. I'm now working harder on art, because regardless of hell or highwater, I'm going to put myself somewhere where someone can't suddenly decide I can't go.

And also it would be awesome to write off FWA for art selling and art panels, as a business expense.
