I feel horrible having to post this because i'm not a huge fan of sympathy/asking for donations, etc.
But right now I really can't handle this on my own.. and I really need help with this..
On January 3rd my uncle David and I lost one of the most important people in our life, his father, and my grandfather. My grandfather took me in when I was 4 years old because my mother left me with him, he began to get sick a little under a year ago, maybe about 8 months ago, he had always had a cough, but it started to get worse. He had apparently without telling anyone stopped taking his medication because his doctor retired, and he didn't want another doctor. After that him not taking his medication caused him to have a pulmonary embolism. After that, he was released from the hospital, but he had been off his feet for so long that he could no longer stand easily, and he was so weak he couldn't try and exercise to build up his strength, the doctor gave him a prescription for steroids, and just when he started to get better, he started declining, you could hear him breathing across the room, he was imagining things, he got so bad, so fast. On December 31st he was taken to the hospital, at first it seemed like they could help him, but within a few hours it turned out that he had not only heart failure, but also kidney failure, and liver failure. He was in constant decline for 2 days. He eventually went into a coma and we had to make the decision to take him off life support.. This man meant the absolute world to me, he cared for me and made sure I never had to worry about anything. Now we're barely paying for groceries every week, barely paying the bills, and not able to pay for his cremation, it is absolutely killing me thinking that he still hasn't been cremated, that he's just laying in a freezer. I really just want to get the bare minimum I need to have him cremated. He didn't have life insurance or a will. So we have to pay for everything out of pocket and neither of us have anywhere near enough, we're both barely getting by, I don't even have a job, I Just got my ID and SSN card a few weeks after he passed, i don't even have my license so I can't get a job currently, our house is falling apart at the seams and there's dozens of repairs that need to be done. We can't balance everything on our own. I'll be opening up commissions once I get the time, for now i'm trying to get little jobs here and there, selling items around the house, and working online to try to get enough to pay our bills.
If you can help for now, literally one cent helps, and I would be so so grateful, i'll try to do something for free to anyone who Does donate, but I can't make any promises on when, or it's quality. Please help me out in this situation.
