In my opinion custom thumbnails for potentially objectionable art is a nice idea, especially ones which show part of the picture so you get an idea but don't see what's actually going on.

However custom thumbnails largely don't work/show on FA for art, so here it's a moot point to use them to try to hide fetish art since the site will just show the default generated thumbnail in most cases anyway - people have been complaining to me about this in the past several times.

Hm, seems like that's something FA needs to fix then. And ones that show part of the picture are the best for sure, so the picture isn't a complete surprise!

It has been a long-time complaint, they work right for everything else but art submissions. :P

what i'm trying to say is, yes thumbnails for porn pictures are annoying , it's fa! Its build for furry porn! :D
if people dont wanna see porn they should adjust their account settings or just hit the SFW button.

Exactly, though this wouldn't be for everything nsfw haha, was more referring to more extreme fetishes. Vanilla porn is still porn after all~

Honestly it's up to you. I prefer to see things immediately because otherwise I have to put in extra effort to something I'm not even sure I want to see yet lol. It also takes more time to create a thumbnail if you make them custom for each piece. So I'd probably lean slightly toward no thumbnails personally.

I'm the same way on them haha, easy to get disappointed after going through to see what the piece actually is and it being not what you expected. But for those who don't want to see that stuff at all, it acts as a buffer from it, which is why I'm torn. But time wise it wouldn't be hard, they'd be something like a cropped version of the pic with a keyword or 2 about it, so that in itself wouldn't be hard to do at all.

I prefer censored thumbnails and the like!

I'm fine with no thumbnails but I know some people like them.
I just add a sub heading to the title so people can be sure if it's not something they want to click on after seeing the thumbnail.

That was the plan, wouldn't want to completely hide the submissions!
