Japanese 101
Hello and welcome to Japanese 101. The only show on earth that will teach you all of the naughty Japanese words that you shouldn't use.
This lesson's word is: 鬼婆 (Onibaba) 鬼 (Oni) meaning Demon, and 婆 (Baba) meaning hag, so the whole phrase roughly translates to Demon Hag.
The word originates from a popular Japanese legend of the Kijo (鬼女) which means demon woman, but more specifically the young ones. The phrase Onibaba is instead used as the title of an old demon woman.
The word is best when used against elderly women who are behaving as if they were possessed my one of Satan's followers. The woman in this video is the perfect visual representation of the term. She clearly needs an exorcism and much needed follow-up mental therapy treatment. The happy ending to this story is that the woman was fired and a public apology was issued by the hospital.
