Updates! 3/13/18

...have I been putting 2017 as the year for previous update journals? If that's not a testament to my stress levels I don't know what is lmao
But anyways, hey guys! Meant to make this a few days ago when I got back from my meteorology conference last weekend, but have gotten caught up in a whirlwind of things that took my mind off of it. So here we go!
First off, Saratoga Springs, NY is a beautiful little town! Definitely visit if you get the chance, though I'd visit sometime other than winter lmao, upstate New York is very cold.
As a result of this conference, I've been in full swing talking with connections made up there to look into possible summer internships with meteorology or space weather based programs, and I'm incredibly excited for what will come of this! Even as a sophomore without as much experience under my belt, so many opportunities have been opened up to me that I did not know existed. I could go from working at a sucky boy scout summer camp, to spending the summer at any location around the United States, or even somewhere abroad! Things have changed so fast I almost can't keep up with them :D
Now for this week, it is technically my spring break. But unlike all of my friends, I'm stuck here at my university working our musical's tech week, which involves 12 hour shifts (unpaid!!!) every day through next Sunday. Thankfully I am only a spotlight operator, so that 12 hours involves me sitting up in a light booth for the entire time just waiting for my cues to be called. Really boring, but easy work I guess. Relaxing as well, but manages to really wear you out after sitting for 12 hours lol, got back today and could not muster up any energy to draw (writing this instead). I'd call it a break from classes as well, but some of my professors decided to assign work that needs to be done before it's over >:O
So that's how things are going! Finally some silver linings among the stress. This fox is going places~
Hope that everyone else is doing good!
