Car Update: Won't Start
The check engine light didn't come on today when I started it up and drove to an auto parts store to pull the error codes.
The codes were:
P1684
P0562
P0340
P0700
Arte told me that it's likely a cam sensor. I was getting ready to go drive to O'reilly's to get one, and my car decided it's not going to start. I'm going to wait for my dad to get home and then get him to take me up there so I can get one.
I hate this fucking car.
I want to drive it off of a cliff.

Whatever you do, glad I could help! :)
At this rate I'll be replacing it in the dark.
Something like Oklahoma City, where I live? Bike riding is a royal pain in the ass, and I did it for 2 years while I saved up for a car. Everything's spread way the hell out over the city and motorists are pretty bicycle-hostile (I was nearly hit many times and fully hit once). Having to ride a broken bicycle in for repairs also sucks more than just towing a car. There's also the impact of weather: Blazing heat in the summer and frozen streets in the winter. If you spin out on ice in a car, you can take steps to correct it like slowing down, turning into the skid, etc. If you hit ice on a bike, you IMMEDIATELY go horizontal, no chance to catch yourself or anything.
Of course I'm probably preaching to the choir, since I don't know how long you've depended on a bike. But yeah, putting it in perspective as to why that's not a really good option for a lot of people.
and as for how long i been riding where i need to go? about 17 years now. i've never even had a driver's license. i like riding my bike that much. and to put in perspective, i just turned 35 years old.
I would always get horrible chafing in the crotch, especially if I had the seat too high up, to the point of actually wearing huge holes into my jeans and underwear. I could never figure out how to completely avoid that, either, and the bike store guys were just as mystified as I was. Didn't know whether to blame the saddle or it's configuration.
nah but all kidding aside i have used many bikes over the years. typically mtn bikes of various make and model. and rather than spending on repairs once things got too bad i would just replace the bikes as a new bike would usually cost about the same as fixing the older ones and i could sometimes get the exact same model again.
But currently for the past few years i've been using a sondors e-bike which gets a top speed of 20 mph and can typically hold a charge (for me traveling in 3rd level pedal assist) for about 10 miles before i need to recharge which is enough to get to and from work 2 times. the battery in that case still has enough juice for another 3 miles or so but that's not enough to go round trip a third time, even if i lower the power usage to minimum which can usually last about 4 days. but the whole point was to keep my leg strain down since i work on my feet all day and it's nice not tiring myself out too much before my shift begins. plus easier to get to work on time too. it's an all terrain bike too; mud, snow, sand etc. it can handle anything though it doesn't have any shocks so i avoid paths that are too bumpy. already had to replace it's engine once 2 years ago and need to replace the tires and rear brakes right now. they should be arriving any day now.
A song worth appreciating~ :3
I've had someone look them up, actually. Apparently the first 3 are old codes from back when my alternator was acting up. I can't remember what he said the other one was, but he mentioned it was something with the CMD acting up
After I replaced the Cam sensor it seems to be working fine.
