If anyone wants to know how sensitive I am to caffeine...
I drank a 1.25L bottle of Mountain Dew and I've been awake for 31.5hrs
Heart rate's not elevated
Level of alertness unaffected
Tired and dying but unable to fall asleep
(Believe me, I sent 6hrs trying)
Krill me now
FA+

See...... I drink near the "healthy limit" for adults which is 400mg.
That's 2 cans of Monster.. which can be anywhere from 280 - almost 400.
There are days where I go over that amount.
But never ever EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER drink so much caffeine at once.
I learned my lesson, one time I had a coffee that has triple espresso (easily almost a day's worth of caffeine) in 15 minutes. I thought I was gonna die. I went to almost 600mg that day. Never doing that ever again.
You're gonna have to get caffeine free soda fam. :/
I did a quick calculation and a 1.25L bottle of MD has 190mg of caffeine in it and all it did was keep me from being able to sleep for quite a while.
If I'd drank the same amount of Coca Cola, though, even though it only has like 125mg of caffeine in it, my heart would be palpitating like crazy AND I wouldn't be able to sleep for quite some time.
But then if I drink a 500mL bottle of Barista Bros. Double Strength Iced Coffee, which has 219mg of caffeine in it, it would either make my heart palpitate to varying degrees, OR I'd get really tired and fall asleep.
Energy drinks are heart attacks in cans for me, though. Never touching them again.
Caffeine is fucking crazy and I don't understand it so I stay away from it for the most part, lol.
*hugs*
Stay safe pls ;w;
I'm okay, fam! Like I said, I don't have fizzy drinks very often, and my only regular source of (VERY minimal levels of) caffeine is iced tea, so I'm not at any particular risk :)
