as far as how many commissions is enough to buy for your birthday, i think it really mostly amounts to how much you feel personally comfortable spending on intangible digital goods. If you enjoy the art and know you'll enjoy it for a while i'd say buy as many as you feel okay with without harming yourself financially or neglecting any responsibilities you may have.

That being said, as far as how far in advance to pay for an item that varies from artist to artist, most like myself take payment up front, but offer payment plans for bigger projects. For instance, in my terms of service there's a refund policy that states the customer can cancel an order anytime after 30 days if the first wip has not been delivered for approval, and after that point it would be the total minus the cost of however much work has been completed at the time. So it's really just up to how long you might be willing to wait to see results. :3 as for birthday commissions, feel free to peruse my gallery and my commissions tab for prices and examples if you wanna hit me up for something. I might even offer a birthday discount for the occasion!

I want to be able to spoil myself but, I have to save up money first so I'm worried that I'm running out of time to get things. It's hard to get money for me since I got so many bills and such.

I love getting art of my baby, ever since I got her. I want to spoil her to the max amount but I can never know if it's too much.

anytime! and remember, even if you only get a piece or two, as long as they're a quality level you're happy with that's what's important. My best advice is go for quality over quantity. But that's just my opinion! If you like lots of cute littler things then go that rout if you want to get a lot of stuff, like chibis are usually a good place to start cus they run fairly cheap and are usually super cute :3

I was looking for like a full body piece, with her in a beautiful dress standing by her birthday cake with presents from friends all around her and a pretty nice background. I'm already getting separate art pieces with friends that I already set money aside for. But I really want a fancy one, if you get what I mean.

You could get a bunch of commissions at once but you could also get something a of a grand scale to make it special either with multiple characters or an expensive artist with crazy quality. Actual painting tier art is always worth it x3

Also if like to recommend Newd he's got a really unique style and his painting tier is amazing especially his backgrounds. He also draws food really well x3
