I'm going to be blunt here.
I've only had a few people who've commissioned me regularly, and I believe part of the reason why is the fact my rate is $20 per thousand words. As many of you have seen, I'm a darned good writer. I'm trained in balancing scenery, imagery, dialogue, appearance, and exposition, weaving these together into a compelling story that keeps a reader's interest.
I believe my rate to be fair, given the amount of time it takes me to complete the work. However, there is the matter of how many of you can't necessarily afford to pay me, say, a hundred dollars, if I go upwards of 5,000 words.
So, I was wondering.
How would you all feel, if I were to open some flat rate commission slots at $60 a pop? I would probably require payment up front this time, rather than waiting till I finish the work, but those who have commissioned me previously can vouch that I don't skimp on quality and always put my commissioners' satisfaction first.
I would need to discuss the content of the idea with you first, of course. If it's going to turn into a really long piece, then the flat $60 rate probably wouldn't match too well. But if it's a reasonable length, I think this could prove to be a nice compromise for those readers who enjoy my work but can't necessarily afford that rate I mentioned in the beginning.
Anyways, yeah, I would like to hear you watchers' views on the possibility. Please, everyone, give me feedback. Don't just pass this journal by or read it and say nothing.
Thank you.

Hey, I just felt like you can increase how many words per $20. Sorry, it was just an idea I thought of it. You don't have to do it.

OP
Relax, Morgan. I'm not going to take offense to ideas offered by people. i just like to hear what they think. And don't worry, your story is the next in my queue now, so it should be ready in the next week, hopefully, thogh delays may happen due to real life complications. (I've got a wedding to prepare for for my sister, a move to do for the same sister, then anotehr move for another sister from college. XD Fun all around this month!)
