All three of them? Jeez I’m sorry, was this a first time litter for the cat? (Usually first times don’t do as well cuz mother cat doesn’t know entirely what to do)

yeah, all three :c it is very saddening...
and nope, this was her second. The first kitten months ago also didnt make it (it survived nearly a week...)

Aw oh dear, I’m wondering if maybe it could be something with her milk? The first 18 hours, a kitten need to latch on to gain a ‘borrowed immunity’ to sickness and so. I’m no expert with this though but I’m sure third time’s the charm! Although I’m sorry this all happened, I hope both you and the mother cat will recover from this, I know loss of young’uns can be hard on the heart

I never have thought of milk being of issue before... This is our first mother cat to have such issues like this.
This really does indeed leave quite the impact on the heart... the mother cat i am sure will survive, she seems to be in good health all things considered.

it’s usually why people need to act fast when finding abandoned newborns because they have next to no immune system, they get that from their mother in the start. If you or the family finds time and money for it, a check-up with the vet might help figure out if there’s a health related issue or if it’s just pure coincidence.

I hope things get better for you though, it might take some time to recover from this but I’m sure you’ll muster the strength

That’s okay, I only recently learned about it myself from a lady who fosters kittens and so, which is why I’m spreading the information. But I hope things become brighter for ya, you really don’ deserve that kinda hurt
