I have to correct this. You still have to wait months (9+ months) to get PR (Permanent Resident) and then work for Citizenship. There is no golden ticket. PR will cost between $3000 to $8000 to have fully and Citizenship even more.

I'd suggest using a lawyer that's based where your fiance is. It'll make the process A LOT easier and generally they take into consideration if you have an active agent in the US on your behalf.

yeah both chatai's dad and my mom are lawyers and were getting help from them but the venezuelan offices work very very slow, that's why I haven't been able to get other types of visa before, so we're doing this one since the paperwork and processes take significantly less time to be done in the united states

K-1 is the best way to go, this is the Fiancee type Visa and it's how me and my significant other handled it. The US is really aggressive with people coming into the country and getting married, government doesn't like it.

A few things we learned along the way that will make it easier:
1. Remember that the K-1 Visa is only valid for 3 months. In that time, you have to get married or you're obligated to return.
2. Make sure to apply for a Social Security number as soon as possible after arriving in the states. If your K-1 expires (married or not) you'll have to wait for your alien residency identification (which can take months, this will make it very difficult for your SO to handle taxes)
3. Your SO has to provide health insurance and you cannot benefit from social services, if the government finds that they cannot support you, you'll be obligated to return to your country (however I believe you will be able to return when he can prove that he can support you)
4. Have about $2000 saved for document fees for your change of residency paperwork.

Yeah, I knew it would be fairly difficult to do; I don't believe I said otherwise. But you are correct in that it's not instant citizenship; it is a start though.

The problem is that I can't legally enter the united states without a visa, and I've tried getting one in several different ways, I haven't been denied it in a bad way or anything but the process of getting one while living in venezuela is painfully slow and with too small of a chance of being granted one.

I've had places for similar things tell me things like "We cant give them at the moment because we dont have the specific paper/plastic to print them"

it isn't that easy actually....if she gets married to him she needs to apply for adjustment of status...she most likely will get a appointment and interviewed...then homeland security will decide if she can get residency or not. Afterwards if everything goes smoothly she will have a green card for 2 years then she will need to re apply again....go through the process and see if she will be accepted or denied. IF you have lived in the states for 5 years then you can apply for citizenship.
