mental health and you!

General
yesterday I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and it’s very likely I’ll have an additional diagnosis of major depressive disorder by the end of next week.
it feels overwhelming but it also feels freeing that all the pain I’ve been told to suck it up through, or ignore, or was fake or imaginary, was real this whole time.
now for the hard part: dealing with it.

So get in treatment, and no matter how hard it is stick with it. I hope things get better for you.
Please just remember that while the diagnoses shed light on and provide some closure on your past experiences, they change nothing. You're still the same person you've always been - whom I love. You're not starting from square one, you've been dealing with it for years and already have a lot of self understanding to help you move forward. And as debilitating at is may have been at times, you've still worked hard and succeeded in establishing a good life for yourself, surrounded by a lot of people (and furs) who care about you. Be proud of yourself.
