I have had this problem if you are one Windows 10, I am guessing you updated from 1703 to 1709 disabling Windows update will not stop it. It will simply force you in the future to select a manule time to update and if you don't it will then it will choose by it self when to update. No Joke, my computer blue Screens when attempting to update to Version 1709. It's a common issue with the Last Years fall update. Microsoft gave the OS the ability to literally turn on your computer by itself to install said updates. Go into your system files and check if your update was successful.

Windows 7, i should be fine. I already have something to prevent it from becoming windows 10

If you go into the group policy editor in windows 10, you can force windows to never update

I got windows 7. Ill make sure to get the comp to stop automatically updating.
