Weird, weird weather

Currently closed for story commissions! See this journal for details if you want to look anyway.
So it's rainy and thundery out today, nothing unusual there. The bit that's new is that apparently a local tornado warning has been put in place.
The hell?! This is southern Ontario, not freaking Kansas! We're not supposed to get weather like that!
I don't really think there's much danger of a twister actually wrecking up my shit, but just in case I pissed Nature off somehow, I've removed my computer's external hard drive and am carrying it around with me. Everything I've written in the past year and a half is on this hard drive, and if I'm gonna be huddling in the basement, I'm gonna be doing it with my writing safe at hand. u_u
So I probably won't get much done today, I'll let you know if all my worldly possessions are scattered to the winds. :P

Hell, my town was hit by a hurricane in the 50s--anything's possible!
Yeah, really. And I'm out in the suburbs so all I can see around my house is other houses, it's not like I'd see it from miles away and be able to prepare.
I remembered that back when I was living there I remembered Maude's philosophy from the movie Harold and Maude.. (referring to her possessions)"it's all incidental not integral...but with that in mind I'm not opposed to a bit of collecting!" XD
