You do great work. If it wasn't for the wait period I'd see about having something done, and it sucks that he's selling the house. I hope he gave you more than a little bit of notice about it. Personally I would have told the residents I planned to sell the house before I put it on the market, and arrange the sell date to give them at least three months to pack up and save. Then again I'm a nice guy.

It has been on the market for awhile. We have been having to deal with showings and speaking with the relators. A buyer was finally found and we were given the 30 day notice. We have been trying to save up, but we are a check to check household. I live with my disabled mother and her husband as supplemental income, and We are all doing the best we can.

I understand the issue with longer wait times. Before this, I was down to a 1-2 month turn around and closing in on getting it down to a month. Sadly, that isnt going to be the case for awhile. But Im always open. So there in lies your catch. Im always open, thus its easy to get slots from me, and im not picky at all about the content that I do on commission. You contact me, and as long as its not something im super not okay with, i'll draw it for you. It just takes awhile for me to get to it. I could close off my slots, make them higher priced and be more picky about who I choose and get them all done in a month, but I would have to be very selective in my choices to ensure I could get everything done in that time frame. (at this point, and thats going off my skill level. I am not a quick artist at all. Even doing a sketch takes a couple hours for me normally, to get it to a stage I am happy inking from. Again, not any kind of dig, or even an excuse. Im just trying to explain how things work specifically for -me- It takes me -forever- to figure out posing and getting the body how I want it to be. 99% of that is the toughest things for me to do. )

Everyone works at different paces, I try to be very transparent about mine though. Always have an active public queue going, and im always around should people have questions. I find very few people who are willing to commission me, actually have an issue with the wait time when it boils down to it, which is nice. Thats not any sort of a statement against you, or others, who like faster or even during stream commissions. Instant satisfaction is a thing, and even sometimes I fall prey to it. Thankfully there are some very talented and quick people out there to corner that side of the market :D

As the poll I put up was for smaller/potentially cheaper commissions, Im trying to provide a way that people can get art from me, (aside from winning a random free twitter raffle or something) that would be easier on people who do not have alot of income. I myself, am one of those people and sadly have not been able to commission other artists in some time because of it. Art is a luxury item, and sadly while I may draw occasionally for myself (very occasionally) I just cannot justify spending money I need for bills, and the move at this point. Hopefully that will change.

Oh. It was by no means an intended blow or insult. If someone takes a while to do a piece there's nothing you can do to change that, altering the process changes the outcome. It was more a statement about personal behavior. I just don't believe in paying for something that you'll be hanging in limbo for in the listed time frame. I by no means expect someone to turn around the same day or within a few days. Like I explained to a friend I'm okay with being billed once an artist gets to what they're doing for me, but billing me from the jump and then having to wait a long time is what bugs me. I wouldn't really worry about what I said or anyone who says similar things with an intent to insult. It's obvious your work is good. With any creative profession time determines quality. I hope you didn't take it as a cheap shot, and don't worry about the ramble.

I get what you're saying, I just, unfortunately, cannot operate that way. I could go into another ramble entirely im sure, but i'll leave it at that. ^^
