General
The title says it all :) I'll be Livestreaming on Picarto tonight from 10pm BST // 5pm EDT // 2pm PDT.... and I never fully appreciated what a headache daylight savings time is until this XD
My Patreon will launch shortly after, so the early arrivers and I can count it down together.
I've had some brilliant feedback on my Patreon from followers on several different accounts. So, as I count down to launch, click here for a preview of my Patreon if you wanted to take a lookie .
Even now, if you have any feedback or suggestions on my Patreon, I'd love to hear them and please comment.
In the meantime, this fox needs some sleep ! I hope to see you later
FA+

"Wierder" should be "Weirder" ($1 reward)
"recieve" should be "receive" ($5, $10, $20, $25, $50 rewards)
I definitely recommend putting something in the banner space at the top; as an artist, it makes sense to show off your artwork. Even if you don't have a specific Patreon banner, you could always start with an existing drawing (and crop it if necessary). Maybe "Waterborn" page 3 or 4, since they're landscape?
Looking at Brad Guigar's page, his banner is split into 3 sections:
https://www.patreon.com/guigar
I think the original idea was that Facebook/Twitter will crop the preview image when you post a link. However, when I put that link into Facebook I see the right half (rather than 1/3). Anyway, you could fiddle with the details later, but for now I think that something is better than nothing, although I'd avoid any nudity there.
Related to that, Brad Guigar also puts small print on some of his pledge levels:
"By selecting this option, you are signifying that you are over 18 years old and have the legal right to possess adult material in your community. You are also signifying that you have read this legal disclaimer."
I don't know whether you need something similar; looking at Patreon's terms of use, they say:
"To register for an account you must be at least 13 years old. To give or receive pledges you must be at least 18 years old or have your parent’s permission."
So, you might be able to rely on that.
I wonder whether there's any benefit in having an SFW pledge level, i.e. a way for people to support you without seeing any NSFW content? However, it's probably safe to assume that your current fans are all down for that :)
Looking at the dragon tokens, I'm not quite clear on the exchange rate for sculptures. I.e. if I pledge $50/month, could I get one sculpture every month or would I need to save up my tokens for a while?
Anyway, good luck, and I'll be at the virtual party tonight.
"recieve" (in the Perfectly Normal $25/month pledge)
"wierd" (in the main section, under Rapidsketch Raffle)
In the main section, is it worth explaining what a "Gourmet Conbadge" is? As I recall, you used to have that info here (under commissions), but I can't find it now.
Looking at the $25/month pledges, they both refer to "the bonuses from previous tiers". However, I'm guessing that they don't include the "Cuddles" benefit ($20/month). It might be better to spell out exactly what happens at each level, even if that means that you repeat yourself a lot.
Looking at the "TF Clinic" pledge level ($25/month), I assume that you only get to create a character (member of staff) once, rather than a new one every month? As a patron, I'd be inclined to sign up for the "TF Clinic" level, do that for a month (to get the character reward) then swap over to the "Perfectly Normal" level. It's the same cost for me each month, but then I get an ongoing benefit of a 5% discount. (Or I could drop to a lower pledge level, saving me money.) If that then frees up one of the 20 slots for someone else in the "TF Clinic" pledge level, you'll potentially wind up having to add several new members of staff every month.
Maybe it would be better to merge both of the $25/month pledge levels together, then have a separate raffle once a month to say that one of those people gets to design a new character for the clinic. That way, it gives you a more consistent workload, and it provides an ongoing incentive for patrons to keep pledging at that level. It would also simplify the number of pledge levels.
Some of them are already in hand (I'm already putting together a pricelist-like graphic for the Fox Tokens, so that will show what a Gourmet Conbadge is) but others are well worth me chewing on... edits incoming. Thanks for the feedback :)
