This a really long winded and overly worded way of just saying the movie is good. I already seen it and enjoyed it. But damn you can't even say the movie was fun?

good luck with that. The new Jumanji is your anime trapped in a video game story line. Like .//Hack, Sword Art Online, OverLord, and probably a bunch of other anime that I can't think of at the moment. but a ton of them have been flooding the market recently.

Look, the Jumanji one is going to be a diatribe on "environment(wilderness) as obstacle/antagonist" and how it defines the Adventure genre.

But Jumanji is the first time I saw it really noticed it solidly revived.

"how it defines the Adventure genre." ? That is aiming a bit on the high side don't ya think. I rather call it like I see it. A cash grab, that is going do a bunch of things at once and not doing any of them well. Its sold as a the Breakfast club mixed with Freaky Friday and the Exploration (Tomb Raider/ Uncharted) video games style. That or at least a parody of them.
