So. Let's say myself, person A, and person B are all friends. Person B, of their own free will, spends a fuckton of money on both myself and A over the course of our friendship. Tons of art and even physical gifts. None of this is asked for, they were all gifts. A & B have a falling out where B decides to try to reclaim every single gift. Needless to say, this did not go over well. Dramadramabullshit, B apologizes to A and lets them keep everything. Then B cuts me out of their life the literal second they think it would improve their standing with A. Sure, fine, whatever. That's more your loss than it is mine. Fast forward a bit, A and I have a falling out and cut ties.B then proceeds to go through a friend of mine to bitch at me to, YOU GUESSED IT,
give back the one physical gift they bought for me (which just so happens to be a fuckin dildo.). Obviously, I told them to get fucked. Now I'm hearing that B is deciding to leave A and is asking, "How are you paying me back?"

You don't pay back gifts. That defeats the purpose of a gift.
