Well, this will be a fun read. I am finishing up a class on Ancient Rome, though I am currently writing my final paper on the decline and eventual fall of the Roman Empire.

Interesting. I had no idea there were female gladiators. It seems like female fighters (gladiators and soldiers) were present in many, if not all, major wars. It's just that their story was silenced and their service was overlooked. Many women fought in the Civil War pretending to be men. In WWII Soviet women fought against the German invaders on the ground and in the air. It's weird that most countries overlook competent soldiers simply due to their sex.
