I call propaganda as deliberately removing nuance and showing only one side of a coin. For all this dramming about people as akin to rats living in a filthy hellish boring corporate nightmare zone, people aren't starving and might actually make it to 70 years due to improving living conditions derived from our capitalist society. So propaganda will be showing one or the other but not both.
well yes but to be fair ..thats the point of the pice ..we are already aware of the other side of the coin.. we live in it ..what the short is trying to do is aknowleging the side we dont often talk about or that tend to be reprehended.
I'd say we already aware of this short's side of the coin, we watched Fight Club, we're aware of the grind of daily work, petty authority, crump cities and shrinking fimilial reletions.
i dont think so.. mean you and me and probably the third person reading this conversation may be aware of this..but i bet a lot of people havent becouse to understanding fight club frist
you need to have seen fightclub ..which many people havent ..second you need the inteligence to understand fight club and even then you may not realate to its messege as well as to this
besides its not a crime to re tell the same themes in a different story. as long as you aint just stealing that story
I'm not saying you shouldn't find your own way of telling an old story, I'm saying that Fight Club told this story better and not in a propagandistic way, because it showed multiple facets of its premise.
When going back to the notion of propaganda, this short clearly knows what his message is, modern life is awful, it's not using this premise to search of something else but expressing it over and over in a different way to convince the uneducated viewers like you said.

Interesting little film, I'll give it that. Nice animation too; even if it went a little loopy near the end there o.O
