●●●●
●●●● Thought it apropos to put some sound FX in the title of this week's
●●●● wee bulletin-slash-blog-like-thingie. 'S been a bit noisy on my end of the
●●●● planet lately. The weather's fantabulous, the snow's all but gone, so that
●●●● means I can get into my woodlot with a chainsaw. Vroom, vroom.
●●●●
●●●● Also means I'm falling flat on my muzzle with fatigue; whoo-hoo, outta
●●●● shape or what? I'd fantasize about a cute female polar bear in a nurses
●●●● uniform, who has a *very* cuddly bedside manner, and whose uniform is
●●●● really an ultra-short miniskirt, but meh. Too tired to fantasize, which is
●●●● sayin' something.
●●●●
●●●● Nuthin' to do with the FAWD, you say? Au contraire, as they say in
●●●● German, since harvesting winter combustibles--ie., several tons of
●●●● murdered trees--amounts to a pre-tty mission-crit life support activity. I
●●●● get this done now--before summer heat murders me--ergo I stay alive next
●●●● winter, ergo the FAWD stays alive next winter. Socrates? Check my logic
●●●● will you? Is good? I thought so. :- )
●●●●
●●●● That said, two small FAWDish notes of interest [to somebody]. The
●●●● recent change from a Friday 3:00 PM to Friday 10:00 AM cut-off time is
●●●● working out even better than expected. Proof: Set a time record on this
●●●● update of approx. 3 1/2 hours, from start to done-ish. Being awake in the
●●●● morning and stoked with radioactive-strength coffee has helped uncover a
●●●● a few speedy changes to procedure. Mo' planned, so we shall see.
●●●●
●●●● Oh, and made some progress on a small but mildly neglected part of
●●●● the FAWD: The Group lists. As in, if there are groups out there with stories
●●●● or poetry posted, they oughta show up here (and they do).
●●●●
●●●● But: Haven't really had code in place to keep these lists updated
●●●● properly; sorta did it on manual, and kinda spottily. So: Buckled down and
●●●● wrote dat code, or at least I'm in the process of doing so. Lessee how the
●●●● weekend goes.
●●●●
●●●● 'S a bit trickier, and a bit simpler, than the regular list pages update,
●●●● but on the other paw I'm having fun testing some new technique that
●●●● bodes portable to the list update code. Ie., an improvement.
●●●●
●●●● <Growf!> Oh. It's the cute polar bear. Mmmm yes, that is a rather
●●●● short miniskirt. Suppose this is the weather for it.
●●●●
●●●● <Growf! :- )> Trans: I'm not too tired to fantasize. Oh, well, count
●●●● blessings.
