Pfff, nothing's boring about politics tbh, you can dedicate a couple of pages to it to help the people reading understand more of the climat, but so far you've been doing great without really having to delve too deeply into it! So honestly I do beleive it wouldn't be boring to read about!

This would be as good a time as any, while the gang is getting ready to go rescue Lex (I wouldn't jump between the two arcs though)
It would probably cut back on downtime between the next arc, if the Connor/gang arcs are related somehow.
