it's a challenge i think in which an artist makes 100 drawings or more in a certain amount of time, it can be 3 months or 2 depends on the artist, i've seen others do it by taking requests and some do commission it depends on what you want

It's a game, based on the "Iron Chef" shows of several years ago. Other things it can be include being on a panel at a convention and drawing certain themes (you don't know what they will be) with unusual material.

****NOTE*** THE IRON ARTIST CHALLENGE IS DIFFERENT IN DIFFERENT FANDOMS. At one such competition (SF fandom), we had to sculpt a voodoo doll out of spam. I've also done work in food colors (the convention provides them.)
