A short rant.

"It's a journal from Summercat! And he writes:"
"X shouldn't be Y" is a statement of opinion.
"X was never meant to be Y" is a statement of fact.
However, if "X" was intended to be "Y", then your statement of fact is a falsehood.
If you knowingly state a falsehood, especially after being presented evidence otherwise?
You are a liar.
This simply isn't up for debate. There is nothing to be honestly defended.
If you knowingly utter a false statement of fact, you are a liar.

It's deceiving yourself to the point that you deny the truth. You KNOW what the truth is, but you don't like the truth, so, you simply deny it. You can't argue against it, so you just deny it.
How much damage will you do to yourself and others simply to maintain this false viewpoint?
The damage wrought from them is pretty obvious. But that is a whole other can of worms. Just the first thing that popped into my mind upon reading Summercat's journal and your response.
This is regardless of the truth being known or not, only the lie will be believed. A pathological liar will refuse even listening to the truth since they believe their own lies and nothing nor the entire world will change their minds, until they fabricate a new lie.
...steps off soapbox.
