FRANCE

I don't often go into a rant but someone has to say it. I'm not French, nor are any of my friends, but, if it weren't for France, the United States would never have existed! I can't believe how many morons I see making posts about how the French owe us or how they never did anything for the U.S. and mind you, I'm half Kraut! History is officially America's weakest subject and is shows! Thank you for reading.

In World War 1, the French, the British, alot of allied countries were becoming exhausted in the war effort. It wasn't until a huge explosion happened in Manhatten that actually damaged the Statue of Liberty. A cargo ship carrying explosives for the allies exploded, a huge shipfull. Believed to be German Spies. Followed by the sinking the passenger ships by the Germans, and the Zimmerman Telegram threat that would lure Mexico into a war against the US.
In World War II, someone within Japan's political seats has ordered the Japanese military to attack US shores. Not an order by the emperor, but by someone else who was in control. And it was because of Pearl Harbor that America began planning for the invasion of Normandy with their allies. In fact, the Germans actually thought the allies would attack somewhere else, but instead, they attacked the Northern parts of Occupied Europe. America launched the largest Paratrooper drop in history, followed by the invasion of Normandy. America would strike the most critical points where it would do the most damage, while the British and Canadians would aid in the assault in Normandy... while Russia was just throwing bodies at the Germans. Yes, the other allied countries was fighting longer, but it's not until America joins up that they help put in additional damage against the Central Powers, and the Axis Powers. I'm not saying America won these wars, I'm just saying that America's aid has provided significant damage to our enemies. America was owed nothing, America joined because the growing threat would've spread to US soil. So why would we just sit out of them?
Since then, the French Gov't has been largely unhelpful to the USA. I do not speak of many of the French people as I have a number who are personal friends, but their Government has not been helpful to us or to many of their own citizens.
A personal friend of mine has tried for much of his life to be employed here in the USA as a physicist and he's a good capable man, but his own country has denied him any job over there and over here. Now he is dying, his potential unfulfilled.
