~shrugs~ I always thought the term 'popufur' meant artists in the community that were so well known that, even if you didn't know anything about them at all, the mere mention of their name would make you nod in recognition, simply because you'd heard the name so often from other people.

a popufur is a term used when you are a fur and become well know... i.e. through art, cons, or videos. it can be both a good thing and a bad thing. one you are well know and people like what you do and who you are. they might run up to you and scream like a little school girl watching their their favorite band playing. as bad some might think that you might shot them down if they try to ask you for something like commissions, or be to scared to even talk to you at all. Xianos and myself have run into a mix of both. so enjoy the good reactions and and just do what you can to work with the ones that might think your out of reach
