And things just keep getting worse. (Sad pet story)

Life Update:
This mostly revolved around my dog, she's a lab mix, is currently 5, and turns 6 in June.
In February she was limping so we took her to the vet. At the time the vet diagnosed her with arthritis and sent us home with pain meds and prescription dog food. As the weather started to warm up and she started adjusting to her new pain regimen and supplemented dog food she started to improve.
At the end of April she started to limp again, except this time she completely refused to use one of her legs. Took her back to the vet, this time she had x-rays done. The vet diagnosed her with one of the worst cases of hip dysplasia she had ever seen (One of the hips looks like it was almost out of the socket), and a CCL injury (ACL injury in Humans) in the opposite leg, and referred us the an Orthopedic Surgeon in a city about an hour away.
Went to Ortho-Vet, he looked at the x-rays, and did some exercises with my pup. Currently he doesn't think she needs surgery on her hip just yet (The whole, if it isn't bothering her, leave it alone deal), but she does need surgery to for her CCL injury, which ended up being almost $4k, with an added $300-$500 if she needs CPR during the surgery. Her surgery is scheduled for the 15th, and we will be able to pick her up the following day. During which time she'll have a 10 week recovery period where I'll have to help her walk, and with physical therapy, and make sure she behaves (No jumping, running, playing, etc). Mind you, this is a very active, still young dog. (Labs aren't even considered full-grown until they're around 3yrs of age)
To top it all off, when a dog has a CCL injury they are very likely to get another one on the opposite leg within 1-3yrs.
Needless to say I've been having a rough year so far...AGAIN! I really want to catch a break at some point. :/ We were finally making a dent in our debt, and then I jacked it back up because I had to use my Care Credit Card. (Which is amazing for these situations.) My dog, who I thought was the healthiest of our pets ended up having the most severe issues out of all of them. And with all the stress and anxiety I haven't felt any passion, inspiration, muse, whatever to draw or write most of the year, even though I thought this year was going to be better than the last two.
I'm sorry I haven't been very active, and I feel like I'm disappearing on here and DA now because of it. Reality sucks, and life isn't being very fair. ;.....;
