This year the folks on LI have been silent. A year has passed since I was called "brainwashed" for supporting people who identify as gay and asking for support of my name change. I literally removed one letter off the end if my first name (also changed my middle name, but I did not disclose this to them). Instead if apologizing they're being quiet. They don't know what LGBT stands for and their idea of a transgender person is a creepy guy in a dress. I've mailed letters, photo work, and portraits of myself in male attire and everything went in one ear and out the other.

Instead of being angry I'm thankful. Those close to me that care have shown me and I'm moving past passive-aggressive bullies.

So...despite being a responsible adult, good personal relationships and a spouse, with a career and several awards I'm still a failure to them. I honestly couldn't care what they think of me.


TLDR: I'm the proud transgender disappointment to a passive-aggressive bully and the other passive-aggressive individual who stays with him.
