So, about two weeks ago, I came home from a nice quiet five day get away and a day later was awoken by my downstairs neighbor because her kitchen was flooding. It was originating upstairs from above me. We got the broken water line shut off, but an awful lot of water came in anyway. I had to move all my stuff into the bedroom so they could move in huge dryers. Later they drilled holes in the walls and ceiling. All of this happened during a heatwave and the condo was reaching 100 degrees during the day. yuck! Luckily the hotel room will be mostly covered by the insurance. It was a nightmare. I'm only just now back home but I'm very behind on my work. I've got a table at Innocent Seraphim this weekend, and I'm giving two talks about steampunk. I really wanted to be more prepared. Ah well. Life happens. Hopefully I'll have new art in time for Rainfurrest.
