There are just so many errors in this kind of thinking, I simply can’t point them all out because I value my time. So close-minded to not think about the people who couldn’t afford such an expense or the control it gives to companies who are just that, a company and while the consequences might not be immediate, people who abuse and desire power and control will abuse them. It’s a luxary if you can’t afford it then don’t have it I did not have internet til I was 8 due to the fact we couldn’t afford cable or dial up people tend to forget that the internet existed befor 2008 and due to the fact that no one uses cable or satilite that those who provide internet will have to change the way they do business internet isent cheap to provide as a service and since more people use the internet it’s only a matter of time when the price will be as much for a cable bill anyway. So why have the current restrictions on the speed as well as the high bill

Those are very selfish reasons and not accurate at best. The internet is a utility as stated like water or electricity, it isn't some luxury. The internet a a whole has been integrated into our society in a very deep and complex way. Electricity wasn't widespread and not everyone had it, but overtime it became a very important aspect of life that was involved in everything, same for the internet, Cable isn't a utility as it always was a choice for entertainment. but you had no choice but to have it due to the necessity. So when cable dies out slowly because something better took it's place and it didn't cost anything. Turning the internet into a luxury won't help anyone except those who are controlling it, until something free and better comes along and overtakes it just like cable. You're paying more for something that was free to begin with and you want to add that as a payment just to personally have faster internet while others suffer because of your selfish choice. I never used the internet until I was 7 because it never interested me until I used it and I appreciate it being a huge part of my life as I've learned more about the world on my own using the internet than I have from life experience and school. Supporting the suggestion to take that away from growing kids who use the internet frequently in their lives and learn something each day is extremely low.

I’ll never count the internet tv satellite or any form of entertainment a Utility I understand my views are unpopular but I stand by them the internet in my eyes is destroying society wile it makes us able to access more it also makes people stupid and complacent so it should only be accessed by those who work and can afford more than food stamps

There will always be stupid and complacent people with or without internet, that's completely irrelevant to your point, amd why should it be just another expense when it's already free, you don't know if it'll actually be faster or not. You seem to be content with letting companies rule our lives more than ourselves, if people are stupid enough to have to live off food stamps and work by the paycheck, it was their decisions that got them there in the first place, so why on earth would you want to make their lives even harder for a selfish reason that you aren't sure will even work. Then the internet itself will be paywall'd and abused by those in power with nothing to stop them anymore just because "faster internet". There are tons of reasons to be for Net Neutrality but you seem focused on the one and only aspect of it that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT happen because a company said so. SMH

its not free either way we pay for it I'm simply stating that there should be more options than just this Obama era Internet the internet existed before and will after Net Neutrality hell if I was president I would just have no internet outside of Education but that's why ill never run for office

But the Internet WON'T BE the Internet you know of today after it's revoked, it'll turn into a shell of it's former self and it won't ever recover because of HOW they're revoking it. They're making it so Net Neutrality won't ever be able to come back and allowing 3 or 4 companies to control ideas, communication, trade, your thought can be controlled by fucking COMPANIES and not the individual.

good the people who make the internet accessible are companies and as such they should have the right to profits like I said its a Luxury not a need unlike water there's no such thing as free internet and ill gladly pay more if it allows for more things to be faster
