That's another problem. it's SOCIAL justice, not actual justice. They work under the mentality of dividing people up into groups, rather than holding the individual responsible for their own self-determination. They also advocate many movements that are based on pure fallacy or, in some cases, outright fabrications and lies.

In other words, poor people are responsible for their own poverty. Gotcha. Anyway, to me, social justice means paying people a fair wage for their work and taxing people based on their income, i.e., the more money you make, the more you get taxed, not the other way around.

That's not social justice, though. That's not what the SJW agenda is about. That's the Liberal agenda - what classic Liberals like me espouse. What the Social Justice crowd espouses is outright Marxism - if, say, a field of work isn't 100% representational of the percentage of men to women there are in that society, then it's automatically because sexism. Not because of people's decisions or any other factor - they look at the end result only and base their assumptions and goals on that. They're literally social Marxists at best, and gender communists at worst. Take people like Kathleen Kenendy, current head of Lucasfilms, openly stating that they "don't need male fans" and "the Force is female", while her lackey Rian Johnson openly stated "there's too many white dudes in Star Wars". Which leads me to my next point - they're hypocrites. Rian Johnson for example virtue signals - makes himself look like he's the good guy, that he's all for "equality" and "representation", yet he - a white guy - is accepting the lead role to direct movies and even a standalone trilogy. Why doesn't he step down for a minority director like he's calling for? Why doesn't he be the change he espouses? That's one of the biggst issues people like me have - they're hypocrites who're willing to ruin anyone and anything for their own personal glory.

No it doesn't mean that at all, but nice assumption. I'm poor myself; I've been on EBT (food stamps) for years and am at risk of losing them (due to conservative legislation) and currently applying for disability because I cannot work. I have basically no income at this point in time. If it weren't for my spouse then I'd either be homeless or living in an abusive situation. I can assure you that I'm not one of those "hurr dhurr poor people bring it upon themselves" because I currently am poor and have witnessed several people struggle to get out of poverty unsuccessfully. The system is waged against the working class and disabled.

When I say libertarian, I mean that I believe in personal freedoms. Freedom of speech, even if the other person is saying something completely disgusting. The right to bodily autonomy, the right for consenting adults to marry and have sex, the equality of the sexes, races, and people of different sexual orientations. I do not believe in a business's right to discriminate because that has a negative impact on a community.

I'm a socialist because I want my country, America, to have universal health care. My spouse went blind because he could not afford to treat the rosacea that progressed into his eyes and perforated his cornea. I have crippling mental illnesses and can barely afford my medication, and I have limited to no access to health care. I believe health care is a fucking right and it's a tragedy that we don't get that here. I believe internet is essential to our society and should be treated like a utility, not a luxury. Speaking of utilities, I believe the government should provide those to the people. Yes, that includes internet and phone coverage. I believe we need to expand our transit systems across our country so that every city give access to it's citizens to travel and go to where they need to go. I believe the government should provide housing for the poor. I believe higher education should be free.

Because they've proven time and time again that they're not the good guys. They genuinely think they are, but that's only because they've been told they are by the same people who put them up to what they're doing.

That's the problem. They're attacking people simply for holding beliefs - an action which is strictly illegal and prohibited by the constitution. You also have to think in terms of precedent; if they're allowed to get away with this, then there's precedent justification for group X to attack group Y because group X thinks Y's are "despicable" (religious groups in particular come to mind). Do keep in mind that American law relies heavily on precedent.

You don't physically harm someone for a fucking belief or stating their stupid ass opinions. Act civilized.

You do if they advocate violent action, which alt-right loonies frequently do. And sometimes they do take violent action. Antifa isn't the cause of right-wing violence, it's a militant reaction to it. Is it right? That's debatable. Is it necessary? I can't say. I just think liberals are too goody-two-shoes to effectively resist people like the KKK and Neo-Nazis; those people understand nothing but violence, and while individuals can be reasoned with, large groups cannot, especially with rabble-rousers like Richard Spencer at the helm. Any violence by antifa or the left is directed, mostly specifically and justifiably, at the violent far right, with the rare exception of the occasional shit-disturber who is there to commit violence. Antifa groups don't tolerate people like that. The vast majority of their work is non violent, and behind the scenes, not in street actions.

Even the FBI agrees that antifa isn't a threat, but the violent far right is. Too bad there wasn't an active and militant antifa movement prior to WWII. The fascists might not have gained so much ground and lives may have been saved. Antifa is motivated by a deep love of all non violent people and the countering of violence. And no. There is no such thing as an alt left, though there is a self-declared alt right, and they're a violent threat that actually kills and terrorizes innocent people.
